Mental illness, including depression, is still deeply routed in suspicion and is often thought of as a personal problem; one that the sufferer has control of and can overcome if he tries hard enough. Ignorance demands that the victim is at fault and we have to deal with it. Such common misconceptions and beliefs need to be exposed and refuted. Medical knowledge and social education need to merge and move forward to create change and provide a positive influence on our 21st century way of thinking. All lofty aspirations and high expectations. However, the real reason for this story is to tell you about the grief and anguish I went through after I lost my husband, my love, to suicide. For someone who has been through a tragedy in their life, this book is incredibly therapeutic! It's written in a way that anyone would be comfortable reading it. I feel like Katherine is an old friend of mine. Sometimes when you're dealing with loss and deep emotions, it helps to know that you're not alone. This book helped me know that. It was an inspiring story that showed that hope is never far away, you just need to have faith enough to get there. High recommendation.Product details
